Every person has the right to receive medical care – yet for many families working in Pakistan’s brick kilns, it remains out of reach.
The people who work in the brick kilns live under extremely difficult conditions. Poverty, limited access to healthcare, and long distances to the nearest hospital mean that even treatable illnesses and injuries can become life-threatening.
Pregnant women are especially vulnerable. Time and again, serious complications occur during childbirth. When a baby is in a breech position or other complications arise, an emergency Caesarean section is often the only way to save the lives of both mother and child. Without timely medical care, many mothers and their unborn babies die simply because they cannot afford the necessary treatment or are unable to reach a hospital in time.
The photographs below show real emergency cases of people we have been privileged to help. Behind every image is a person whose life was in danger a mother, a child, or a worker who received the medical care they desperately needed because compassionate people chose to help.
Serious injuries are also part of everyday life. Snake bites, broken bones, deep wounds, and other work-related accidents often go untreated or receive medical attention too late. Illnesses and infections spread quickly because many families cannot afford medicines or professional medical care.
Through our Emergency Medical Aid program, we provide help where it is needed most. In urgent cases, we cover the costs of life-saving medical treatment, surgeries, medications, and necessary hospital care. This gives people who would otherwise have no chance of receiving treatment the opportunity to be cared for and, in many cases, to have their lives saved.
As Christians, we believe that every life is precious and created by God with purpose and dignity. Jesus showed deep compassion for the sick, the suffering, and those in need. Through your support, we can share His love in practical ways by bringing hope, healing, and compassion to people in their greatest time of need.
